My Cousin Jim - A Fiduciary Success Story

There's always a lot of talk about what fiduciaries do and don't do. What happens when you hear about a professional fiduciary who not only goes above, but truly goes beyond as well? You share about it!

Here, a case study for fiduciary success. Here is Pat and Ed's story:

Inheriting a remote house. Fiduciary can handle it remotely

I’m Pat and I live in New Mexico with my husband Ed.

My cousin Jim lived in Sacramento.

We were both only children and we spent our summers together growing up.

When Jim’s parents passed, he inherited their home.

Jim wanted to give me his house when he passed.  He left the keys.

I have a friend who had an attorney.  The attorney set up a trust.  When Jim passed, I called that attorney who recommended John DePiazza at AD Fiduciary to me.

This is where John came in.  He turned a nightmare into a seamless experience.  He really took the bull by the horns.

The house was a mess so he hired contractors come in, clean it out, and fix everything that was not working.  John communicated to me nearly daily with pictures via email and phone informing me of how the process works.  He informed me of the timeline regularly.

There was a tenant living in the home at the time of Jim’s passing.  John found a place for him to live and he moved out.

John arranged for Jim’s body to get to a crematorium.

Everything John did led us to believe that he was always available, always responsive, and always professional.  John Is a man of very high values.

Ed and I never had to ask him about what was happening.  John always ran it past us first.

When we decided to sell the house, John hired a real estate agent.  His constant communications gave us peace of mind.  The house sold in 6 weeks.  John had worked with us from mid-February until the July/August timeframe.  We felt truly blessed.

We recommend working with John at AD Fiduciary. You would be foolish not to.  Clients will be so glad they worked with him.
